  • Bhangi Misal troops under JHANDA SINGH over ran for a short time Multan in AD 1771 (VS1828) Latter were defeated by combined forces of Afgan Governor and Rulers of neighbour Bahawalpur when attacked by his deputy MUJJA SINGH. JHANDA SINGH was able to sieze the citadel of MULTAN on 25 Decebber 1772 (VS1829) TIMUR SHAH(son of Ahmed Shah Durrani) made unsucessful attempts to recapture Multan in AD1777/78. The Sikh garrison surrendered to TIMUR SHAH on 18 FEB 1780 (VS 1837) The last known Sikh coin of The 1st OCCUPATION OF MULTAN VS 1836.Coins from this period are very rare
