A floral device seen on the Obverse, is often mistaken for a modern day Khanda symbol, which evolved in the Canadian Sikh diaspora in the early 20th Century. No Sikh manuscripts, artifacts etc earlier and contemporary to the Sikh Empire period show any such symbol, proving that the Sikh's during that period did not have any such Insignia.
