1884 with star mark (at 12.45) thus Sahai misread as shahab (bright star) in early reading.
Diwan Kirpa Ram became Governor in late AD1826/early 1827 (VS 1883-1877) so it is assumed the Persian Kaf-K is his intial/mark. The period of Kirpa Ram's governorship appears to be one of experiments in the designs of silver coins. It will be noted that the reverse legend is arranged differently
