Nanu Singh, a Sardar of Bhangi Misl, alongwith his brothers, Bhag Singh & Rai Singh siezed the fortress of Buria in 1764. Afghans of Aurangabad, nr. Ambala, killed Nanu Singh & Bhag Singh, who were avenged by Rai Singh & Bhag Singh, adopted son of Nanu Singh adding many villages to their territories.
Rai Singh took 84 villages of the parganas of  Jagadhri & Dayalgarh, while Bhag Singh took 120 villages of the pargana of Buria. 

Buria -
Bhag Singh died in 1786 and his son Sher Singh in 1805. The estate was divided amongst the sons Jaimal Singh(d. sp in 1817) & Gulab Singh(d. 1844),  succeeded by his son Jiwan Singh.

Jagadhri -
Rai Singh died in 1805, succeeded by his nephew Bhagwan Singh who died s.p. in 1812, the estate was divided amongst the widows, Daya Kaur & Sukhan. Daya Kaur got Jagadhri which was seized upon her death in 1828 by the British EIC. Sukhan passed away in 1852, upon which the government divided parts of the estate amongst her brothers and nephews, seizing others.
