Ranjit Singh (VS 1858-1896 / 1801-1839 AD): Silver Rupee, dated VS 1873 (AD 1816), “Dar Jhang” mint, 11.11g, 23mm, Obv Herrli Nanakshahi couplet V, Rev mint and date formula, pipal leaf and star, VS date above, trident symbol below leaf, “Dar Jhang” in persian to left (Wiggins & Goron, type I; Herrli 01.09.04, p.58; KM 20.1a). Very fine, some deposits, small shroff mark on the obverse and banker’s marks on edge, very rare with the trident symbol.
